This series consists of files maintained by Sylvia Miller and Mary S. French of the Program Development Staff. The records contain correspondence, memoranda, reports, and notes relating to international educational exchange, cultural interchange, academic conferences, and cultural conventions. These records were originally maintained by the Division of Cultural Relations. The Department of State's new Division of Cultural Cooperation assumed responsibility for them in 1944, responsibility was then transferred to the Division of International Exchange of Persons in 1945, and finally transferred to the Program Development Staff around 1949.
